Ready, set, push!
A Massachusetts couple is celebrating the birth of their daughter Clare Elizabeth Keane, who was born at 10.11am on Saturday.
At that time, clocks in New Zealand read 4.11am on Sunday. Rather unremarkable.
However, at UMass Memorial Medical Centre in Worcester, baby Keane boasted the birth time and date of 10:11, 12-13-14.
Parents Jennie, 36, and Matthew Keane, 35, of Uxbridge, told The Telegram News they hadn't thought of the consecutive combination until a nurse mentioned it.
"We were joking that we were going to have that 12-13-14 baby," Jennie Keane said. She said her husband "was joking all morning, and it started getting closer to that time."
After she started having contractions on Friday night, the couple decided to aim for the numerical feat. On Saturday morning, the doctor said it would be possible.
After the birth, Matthew Keane then sent out some messages to friends, who at first didn't understand the significance of the time and date.
"Everyone has a birthday story," he said. "This one will be a little different."
And another baby shared Clare's auspicious birth time, with parents Leisha Campbell and Shawn Zimmerman welcoming a baby at 10:11 too ...
